M° Emanuela Salucci – Soprano

Born in Rome to a family of concert pianists, Emanuela Salucci studied piano with M° Franco Medori before entering Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome where she studied singing with Iolanda Magnoni and Marcella Govoni. During this period, Emanuela also appeared in the role of Katerina Cavalieri in Peter Shaffer’s Amadeus at Teatro Argentina in Rome, a production directed by G. Pressburger.
Having graduated from Conservatorio Santa Cecilia with top marks in vocal studies, Emanuela immediately debuted in the roles of Nedda in I Pagliacci and Violetta in La Traviata as winner of the Mattia Battistini Prize for Singing. She then appeared in the role of Mimi in La Bohème at Teatro Metastasio in Prato as winner of the A. Belli Prize for Singing in Spoleto, before going on to win the Tito Schipa Prize for Singing in Lecce, an award which entitled her to represent Italy in the Festival of Peace in Baghdad. Having substituted Katia Ricciarelli in the role of Elvira in I Puritani at Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania she then interpreted the title role of Tosca – alternating with Raina Kabaivanska – under the baton of Daniel Oren at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.
Following appearances in New York, Moscow, Tokyo and Munich as well as at the Seul Art Center and the Gwangju Biennial in Korea, Emanuela participated in the Mascagni Festival directed by Bruno Rigacci, interpreting the role of Luisa in I Rantzau on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the work. She then participated in the Luglio Musicale Trapanese festival, once again interpreting the role of Nedda in I Pagliacci, before touring Germany, Luxemburg and Switzerland. She then appeared with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra in performances of the Stabat Mater by Pergolesi in Palermo, Rome and Venice (concerts which were filmed by RAI television).

As far as her recording career is concerned, Emanuela has recorded a series of contemporary French songs for Maison de la Radio in Paris and a number of previously unpublished chamber arias by Donizetti. She has also participated in television programmes broadcast by leading television companies and was the leading interpreter of the sound track to the Taviani brother’s film Kaos. She is also a winner of the Italy in the World Prize for Opera, a prize supported by the President of the Republic of Italy, an award she received in Caracas, Venezuela.

In 2000 she appeared in the title role of Tosca at the International Festival of Opera and Ballet in Costanza in Romania and interpreted the role of the famous poetess Isabella Morra in the world premier of Il Castello by Nicola Samale (who was also the conductor), directed by Tito Schipa Jr. at Teatro Stabile in Potenza.

During her career she has been directed by conductors of the calibre of Bruno Aprea, Carlo Franci, Napoleone Annovazzi, Alberto Leone, Daniel Oren, Tiziano Severini, Elisabetta Maschio ,Dorota Agnoletto and Stefano Mastrangelo and worked with producers such as Pierluigi Pizzi, Vera Bertinetti, Italo Nunziata, Sylvano Bussotti, Giancarlo Cobelli, Stefano Piacenti and Silvio Giordani.

She has taught performance craft, vocal chamber music and vocal studies at the conservatoires of Bari, Monopoli, Messina, Salerno , Benevento and Frosinone is currently Head of the Department of Vocal Studies of Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Roma . She is artistic director of the Italia Opera Festival in Rome and chairman of the Lo Scrigno association.

M° Dorothea Agnoletto – Artistic Director, Italian Language Phonetics & Pronunciation, Scores
Dorothea Agnoletto is a Polish-Italian violonist, conductor and composer who today lives in Vienna but works European wide. She studied the violin at the Academy of Music in Katowice/Poland, conducting from 1992-1993 at the Private University Vienna (Privatkonservatorium Wien) with Reinhard Schwarz and Mark Georg, followed by further studies in composition and conducting at the University Mainz (Germany) with Maestro Sergiu Celibidache (1993-1994) and private conducting lessons in Vienna with Prof. Karl Österreicher and Prof. Juji Yuasa (1993-1995).

Agnoletto achieved extensive experiences as a performer and opera conductor e.g. at the Teatro Regio di Torino, Turin/Italy (violin, 1982-1990), the Philharmonia Gaudi Vienna, Vienna (1995-2003) as conductor as well as the  Stagione dell’ Opera Italiana, Germany (2002-2007).

Agnoletto’s compositions have been performed European wide such as her opera “Venus Hochzeit oder die Klage einer alten Frau aus Berlin” (Vienna, Haus der Musik), and other pieces e.g. commissioned by the Festival Ave Maria (Poland) and various performances in major Polish cities, the Ukraine, Italy and Austria.

She is the initiator behind the new “Accademia di Canto” in Austria and teaches arranging scores, Italian language phonetics & pronunciation on the Accademia di Canto.
